Vδ1 is a variable segment of the γδ T cell receptor. Vδ1 is rearranged on both Cα and Cδ and is expressed in these two cell types. Vδ1+ γδ+ cells are the major T cell population at birth and are over expressed in intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes.
