CD133, also known as AC133 or PROML1, is a 5-transmembrane glycoprotein of 120kDa belonging to the prominin family. It is mainly expressed on primitive cell populations such as CD34 hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, neural and endothelial stem cells.
